Édith Giovanna Gassion, (Paris, 19 de Dezembro de 1915 — Plascassier, 10 de outubro de 1963), ou simplesmente,Édith Piaf foi uma cantora francesa de música de salão e variedades, reconhecida internacionalmente pelo seu talento no estilo francês da chanson.

O seu canto expressava claramente sua trágica história de vida. Entre seus maiores sucessos estão "La vie en rose" (1946), "Hymne à l'amour" (1949), "Milord" (1959), "Non, je ne regrette rien" (1960). Participou de peças teatrais e filmes. Em junho de 2007 foi lançado um filme biográfico sobre ela com direção de Olivier Dahan.

Segundo a pesquisa da BBC:Le plus grand français,Édith Piaf foi considerada a 10ª maior francesa de todos os tempos.
