-A 21 de Julho de 1899 nasce Ernest Hemingway, escritor norte-americano (f. 1961) :

Ernest Miller Hemingway (Oak Park, 21 de Julho de 1899 — Ketchum, 2 de Julho de 1961) foi um escritor norte-americano. Trabalhou como correspondente de guerra em Madrid durante a Guerra Civil Espanhola (1936-1939). Esta experiência inspirou uma de suas maiores obras, Por Quem os Sinos Dobram. No fim da Segunda Guerra Mundial (1939-1945), instalou-se em Cuba. Em 1953, ganhou o prémio Pulitzer, e, em 1954, ganhou o prémio Nobel de Literatura.

Cat Stevens / Yusuf, nome artístico de Steven Demetre Georgiou (Londres, 21 de Julho de 1948) é um cantor e compositor britânico. Vendeu 40 milhões de álbuns, principalmente entre as décadas de 1960 e 1970. Entre suas canções mais populares estão "Morning Has Broken", "Peace Train", "Moonshadow", "Wild World", "Father and Son" e "Oh Very Young". Depois de sua conversão ao islamismo adotou o nome de Yusuf Islam.

Charlotte Lucy Gainsbourg (Londres, 21 de julho de 1971) é uma atriz e cantora anglo-francesa.É filha do ator, compositor e cantor francês Serge Gainsbourg e da atriz Jane Birkin. 

Fez o seu primeiro filme em 1984, Paroles et musique. Em 1986 ganhou o César de atriz mais promissora pela sua participação no filme L'éffrontée. Em 2000, voltou a ganhá-lo, desta vez de melhor atriz secundária no filme La Bûche.

Em 2009, recebeu o prémio de Melhor Atriz no Festival de Cannes por seu trabalho em Anticristo. Além da sua carreira como atriz, gravou dois álbuns e cantou a canção-título de um dos seus filmes.
